There were 31 subjects, 15 boys (14 IDA and 1 ID) and 16 girls (13 IDA and 3 ID) with a mean age of 8.3 years.
A complete hematological response after one dose of FCM was achieved in 10/22 patients (45%) and a complete or partial response in 17/24 patients (71 %) with IDA and complete data.
Regarding symptoms, 21/31 (68%) patients reported excellent clinical response. Six patients (20%) reported very good response with disappearance of almost all symptoms. Two patients (6%) reported no change. No information could be obtained from the remaining two patients.
